Prodrive to Bring Iconic Rally Cars to Pembrey Circuit
Two iconic machines from Prodrive’s illustrious rallying history will take centre stage at this year’s Welsh Motorsport & Supercar Festival when the event returns to Pembrey Circuit on Sunday 13 September.
Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close to the Ford Escort RS1800 associated with Ari Vatanen and David Richards’ 1981 World Rally Championship-winning campaign, alongside Colin McRae’s 1996 Group A Subaru Impreza, which was driven to victory at Rally Catalunya as Subaru secured its second consecutive WRC Manufacturers’ title.
The cars form part of the Prodrive heritage collection and represent two memorable chapters in World Rally Championship history, spanning the transition from the legendary Escorts of the early 1980s to the instantly recognisable blue Subaru Imprezas of the 1990s.
The Prodrive display will form part of a packed day at the Welsh Motorsport & Supercar Festival, with an extraordinary collection of competition cars, motorcycles, supercars and hypercars set to descend on the Home of Welsh Motorsport.
The Welsh Motorsport & Supercar Festival takes place at Pembrey Circuit on Sunday 13 September 2026.
