The University of Greater Manchester is proud to announce its official support for the upcoming Welsh Motorsport and Supercar Festival at the historic Pembrey Circuit.

This year's event takes place on Sunday 13 September from 9am at the circuit in Llanelli, and the university will bring the thrill of the track directly to attendees.

Visitors will be able to test their driving skills on a high-performance racing simulator, which will be open to the public throughout the event.

In addition to the trackside simulation, prospective students, parents, and motorsport fans can meet university staff and current students.

The team will be on hand to discuss the world-class courses offered at the university’s National Centre for Motorsport Engineering (NCME).

NCME Director Dr Mark Busfield said: “Pembrey holds a special place in the university’s racing history and is fondly remembered.

“We competed at the Welsh venue in 2018, fielding the celebrated Albatec WRX car in the British Rallycross Championship, the year we won the BRX championship with Mark Higgins.

“We are excited to support the festival and look forward to meeting visitors and showing them the fantastic facilities and programmes NCME has to offer.

“The LMP3 simulator is an exhilarating experience and as well as having a go on that piece of technology, people will get the chance to discover how to turn a passion for speed into a professional engineering career.”
