TWO-DAY PEMBREY TEST KICKS OFF 2025 BTRC CAMPAIGN
Hundreds of fans flocked to Pembrey Circuit this past weekend (April 4-5) to see the British Truck Racing Championship lift the curtain on the forthcoming 2025 season with an official two-day pre-season test.
Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated opening rounds at Brands Hatch in less than two weeks’ time, a number of this year’s teams and drivers were in attendance to shake down their machines and clock vital mileage.
In addition, drivers also completed a variety of photography and filming requirements ahead of the new season - all of which will be shared across the championship’s media channels over the coming weeks and months.
Friday’s running took place behind closed doors with a smattering of the Class of 2025 totting up hundreds of laps.
Bathing in the Spring sunshine the following day, enthusiastic spectators were permitted to get their first taste of the super-sized series this year as we welcomed hoards of fans through the gates on Saturday.
With fans being able to line the bankings and get up close to the heavyweight behemoths in the paddock, the event proved to be a smash-hit for all involved.
Alongside testing, the two-day outing also provided the likes of Ryan Smith, David Jenkins, Stuart Oliver, Bradley Harvey and Jake Evans with an opportunity to showcase their new liveries; with more expected to be revealed in the lead up to the season-opener.
“It’s been as busy as ever during the off-season so to have the opportunity to come to Pembrey and hit the track has ramped up the excitement for the start of the 2025 British Truck Racing Championship season that bit more,” said Gordon Snell, BTRC Championship Manager.
“This year the grid has grown and it’s arguably one of the most impressive line-up’s that we’ve had in recent memory. That, coupled with the technical changes we’ve made, should make the battle across Division 1 and Division 2 to be very competitive.
“As always, this championship is nothing without the fantastic support from our incredible fanbase and it was wonderful to see so many of them in attendance at Pembrey. I’m sure they’ll be out in force when we return in May.”
We host the second round of the British Truck Racing Championship on May 17-18. Ticket information can be found at https://pembreycircuit.co.uk/racing/british-truck-racing-championship.
