A Legendary Rally Tribute Returns: The Michael Park 'Beef' Trophy
A rallying highlight of this month's Welsh Motorsport & Supercar Festival will be the emotional return of the Michael Park 'Beef' Trophy – which will be presented for the first time in over a decade.
The event at Pembrey Circuit on Sunday 21 September takes place almost 20 years to the day since the 2005 Wales Rally GB accident that tragically claimed the life of one of the most talented and much-loved British co-drivers.
And to make the occasion even more special, rally royalty will be presenting the Michael Park 'Beef' Trophy – including 2003 world champions Petter Solberg and Phil Mills, and nine-time world rally champion Daniel Elena.
And this presentation line-up could not be more perfect, as Petter was Beef’s team-mate at Subaru and Phil and Daniel are both previous trophy winners.
On display will be the original bronze Hereford Bull trophy, plus a collection of Beef’s race suits, helmets and trophies.
Also on display will be the Subaru Impreza S7 WRC (X19 SRT - chassis #25) that Markko Märtin/Michael Park contested the 2001 Sanremo Rally in.
