Pembrey Circuit is primed for its first big meeting of the season this weekend (22/23 April) as the British Truck Racing Championship roars into South Wales.

Following on from a busy off-season where work has been ongoing in enhancing the venue, namely adding a new corner sequence after the crossing, high-octane thrills are set to resume.

The BTRC enjoyed an entertaining opening event of the year with Stuart Oliver, Ryan Smith, Mat Summerfield and Shane Brereton all sharing the spoils in Division 1 whilst Mika Makinen proved to be the class of the field in Division 2.

With a bumper entry list confirmed and eight races scheduled to be staged over the course of the two day event, the BTRC is set to provide plenty of on-track thrills and spills.

The Pickup Truck Racing Championships will also be in action, making its traditional visit to Pembrey. Celebrating its 20th season, 2017 is a milestone year for the series and that is demonstrated when it comes to looking at the entry list for this year.

Despite 2016 champion Freddie Lee moving to pastures new; the championship houses an ultra-competitive grid with Scott Bourne, Mark Willis and Lea Wood all fighting it out at the top of the standings for the early point’s advantage.

The Caterham Graduates Championship is another series that is celebrating a landmark anniversary with 2017 being their 25th year. With big grids and a multi-class format that sees eight races taking place, the Caterham’s are renowned for their infamous wheel-to-wheel battles.

Caterham’s will also use the new corner sequence on the Sunday – another reason to join us trackside.

Rounding out the track action will be the hugely popular Welsh Racing Drivers Association with many locals keen to triumph on home soil.

Tickets for the event will be available to purchase on the gate during both days. For more information on the two-day meeting, click
